The grade i think i should receive on this website is a D-, because i havnt done much on it...but ive done ive tried to make it as unique as possible.

Presentation

Although i wasnt as prepared as i hoped...it went rather well i thought. I never get nervous so it didnt really matter to me to just go up in front of people and give my presentation. I could understand if i didnt get a good grade, because it was late and it wasnt as 'serious' as it should have been, im aware of this. But seriously, being serious (lol) is so exhausting so i thought i would make it less boring and put my own spin on it.

Game Design Exam Blog

Our new game is called "What are they thingkin'?" It teaches the player the basic believes of each political party. It will give you clues as to how to chose the correct choice of candidate for president. Valerie, Travis, and myself will be working hard to make it all it can be. And i would like to add im very happy with them being in my group, we all do work; no slacking, we all get along fine; so its not always boring, and we communicate well together; which will make making the game much easier.

October 23

Working with dreamweaver I've learned a lot of things. In class I've learned how to make a rollover images (pretty neat), I've learned how to make borders, and how to use design. I like dreamweaver a lot. And id much rather keep using it than some other program.

• What role did you get? Why are you good at this job?
• My role is to work on level 1. Ill be good at this job because i know what im to do.
  

• Did you have any disagreements with your teammates? What were they, and how did you resolve them?

My group and i didnt really disagree about anything we all brainstormed together and came up with great ideas, we listened to each other and put out opinions out there. 

• What do you most look forward to as you create your game?

I look forward to learning about flash and other programs we are going to use to help up us make this game. Im also excited to work with my group and hearing there inputs and working with them.

• What was the inspiration for your game?

Our inspiration was the game "learn the bones" we really wanted to do something dealing with the body, because its interesting and we had great ideas for the game.

I like paper prototyping because it helps you imagine what your game or web page will look like, its a big help.

• What are you most excited about as you start making your game? 

Im most excited about learning about stuff as i make this game.  My group seems very cool so i have a feeling we will all get along and help each other the best we can. 

Mini Game

Was it hard to make your mini game? What was the best part of this topic? The worst part?

        I found the mini game to be a little difficult, only because the directions werent as clear to me as other directions in the past were. The best part was doing the coding just because it was simple and easy to follow. The worst part? Um...everything besides that. =]

Do you play games in your free time? Which ones do you play and why are they your favorite?

        I actually do not play mini games in my free time, nor do i ever. Im not a big game fan, to be honest. Im terrible at pretty much any game you put in front of me, with the exception of maybe mario or pac man. =]]

Why is the number 72 important?
- The number 72 is important because thats the number of pixels per inch on the web.

Why is Photoshop important to web design?
- Photoshop is important to web design because it makes a page more exciting and attracting to its viewers.

Why do you do prototypes for web pages?
- We do prototypes to help us image the way we want our web page to look.

What is the most important element of your personal web site?
- The most important element to a personal web site is the normal text, because it tells you most of the stuff you need to know about the site.

Html coding

I find html coding very easy and helpful. Its very important not to make any errors in the coding, because it wont work as expected. One of the advantages of knowing html coding is knowing how to attract people to the page you are editing with certain effects. My favorite html coding ive learned is how to change the font color and the style of the font because i use it often. I would like to crate a personal webpage using all sorts of html coding.

Today we got into our groups and thought about our game a little more. We decied to name the game, Livers Up. We got the name by texting Chacha at 242-242. We will all be working on the game together and trying to make it exciting as possible.

• What is difficult about html coding.

I dont find html coding very difficult, i think it just takes times and i can get a little off task and distracted.

• What is the advantage of knowing coding?

The advantage of knowing html coding is being able to make a nice webpage. It would be nice on a resume.

• Why is it important not to have typing or any type of mistake on a page?

Its important because if you do have a mistake things might not work as well as they should. Any little thing can throw a code way of line and mess up the whole page.

• What type of web page would you like to create? Explain.

I would like to make a web page about music and/or local bands. I think i would do a pretty descent job of it and since its a huge interest of mine it wouldn't be boring.

Ive learned a lot this week, coding, how to use certain tools and a lot about HTML. I learned how to change background color, put in a horizontal rule, and how to make the body of a page. I added this knowledge to the knowledge i already had about html. My favorite activity this week was all the pages we did working with html. Making all the pages really helped me learn and practice a lot of html codes. At first i thought it was going a little to fast for me to understand it, but i asked a few classmates and they were a big help. :)

Playing to learn

I liked the game Free Rice .  It was a quiz game. I liked the game because it taught new words and their correct definitions. I thought it looked great and put together quite well. I really don't have any suggestions towards that game, i think its a pleasant game and i enjoyed playing it, learning a few new words and of course helping stop hunger with the rice donated was also great.

About the game Semptember 12th, a shooter game. It was okay. It didnt really teach me about terrorism, although that was its purpose. The game looked nice the graphics were moving at all times and it was fun to look at. It was clear and always kept you informed on what to do and such. My suggestion for this game would be to work on the sounds effects.

Classroom Rules

There are many important classroom rules you have to follow during class.  I personally think that the no food or drinks near the computer is a great rule, and should be followed.  The keep your hands to yourself rule is pretty nice as well. Im not a big fan of being touched so im glad there is a rule that stands against it.  And to be safe, because safety should come first, the rule that states "stand up and push your chair, instead of rolling around" is pretty important, and should also be followed. Really, all the classroom rules are important and should be followed. 

Harrassment

Ive only been harrassed a few times in my life, nothing tramatising just name calling and immature confintation. Ive harrassed a few people before actaully, but i felt i had good reasoning. I think it might be a promblem in schools, im not quite sure since i dont get harrassed a lot. However when i do notice someone is being harrassd without good reasoning i try and defend the person being harrassed. I think if the harassment gets out of hand and violent there should definitly be a punishment, but if its just a minor harrassment i think a punishment would be "unnessasry". Kids will be kids, and i think kids that are being harrassed should learn to stick up for themselves in a non violent manner. However, when the children that are being harrassed cant possibly stick up for themselves, for example children with disabilities, i think that the harrasser should go though some sort of punishment to learn his or her lesson. I have indeed witnessed harrassment before. I only get involved if its a friend of mine or if the person getting harrassed cant help themselves or the person harrassing doesnt have a really good reason and he or she is just being a pettiless bully.
